About Us
Our Story
Breaking Down Barriers in Rehabilitation
CALDIA Rehabilitation was founded with a simple but powerful vision: to ensure that every Australian, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, receives the highest quality rehabilitation care.
Our name—CALDIA (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse in Australia)—embodies our commitment to inclusive, accessible, and culturally responsive rehabilitation services.
We recognised that traditional rehabilitation models often fail to address the unique cultural factors that influence recovery. Language barriers, different health beliefs, and workplace expectations all play crucial roles in the rehabilitation journey.
That's why we've built a team of multicultural allied health professionals who not only bring clinical expertise but also deep cultural understanding to every client interaction.
Our Approach
Culturally Responsive Care
At CALDIA, culturally responsive care means:
-
Communication in Your Language
Working with qualified interpreters or matching you with bilingual practitioners
-
Respect for Cultural Beliefs
Incorporating your health beliefs and practices into treatment plans
-
Workplace Cultural Mediation
Helping employers understand cultural factors in return-to-work
-
Holistic View of Health
Addressing physical, psychological, social, and cultural aspects of recovery
